those are hard to dissasemble

you have to be willing to mess up the white tip part

so i took a knife and slowly pried at the part with the tip until it loosened and then pulled with pliars

The silver cap thing needs to be pulled out. Its a very tight fit but it's not threaded or anything. A vice will be required at a minimum and unless you're very careful, you'll wreck the finish on either the tip or the black casing. Once the tip is off, you can carefully push the module out from the battery compartment side.

I know how to get the tip off, but the rest of the module seems stuck. It doesn't matter now any way, It died last night! My first "good" laser Died!!! :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

After you get the top off you push the laser module through the top of the laser from the battery end.

I just took apart 3 last month that have a new design. Just put the tip in a vise with wood on both sides and wiggle and pull. The module is threaded into the tip, and there's no spring on the top of the circuit board either. Just watch you don't lose the button when it does come loose.

A couple of nights ago i took apart this one:

It seems to be a good solid design, and the module diameter is the same as an axiz, so it would make for a good host for a high power blue ray or a red. the head would also act as a heatsink(brass with chrome over top)

Don't know if it's appropriate to promote my youtube account, but I made a detailed (and HQ!) video disassembling one I bought a few days ago.

Hope it helps.
I can't post links because I'm a noob or something.. just put watch?v=AclGI6sGTnE&fmt=18 after youtube.com/
