Also, lately I feel like my laser is heating up faster than it did before, like it would get warm after like 10 second use. Is there anything in the laser that helps it cool down? Or maybe it's just because it's been pretty hot these days (over 90 F). One more question, would a dirty lens affect the power? because it hasn't been able to light matches as well.

I just took the batts out and left the batt cover off and let it sit with the batt cover end up so the moisture went to the top and not on the lens. I live in Arizona and use my laser outside all the time and at night its still 100F and yes you do see a decrease in performance but not much.. Clean your lens and put some fresh lithium E2 batts in it, the high powered lasers seem to eat batteries quickly.

thx everyone for the suggestions, the toothpick with microfiber cloth worked better than anything else I've tried, but it still isn't as clean as before. I'll get the lenspen asap, but i think i saw on the website it may take 2-8wks for shipping? I hope i saw that wrong...meanwhile, I'll try the leaving battery cap off thing.
