Current reccomendations?

Hey guys i wanted to thank the forum for all the help in getting me interested in this hobby! Ppplus i have one last question- for my 445nm, whats a good current to chose to drive it with that will keep the diode life long, but still have a bright beam for night viewing? Currently i have it set to ~1.25 amperes... Is that too much?

What host you using?? 1.25A should be fine in most cases.

I would not suggest 445nm high power for night viewing ..

Made the host myself from scrap parts, aperture end is made of copper for good heatinking,,, ill problay stick with .8 amperes, instead
