Hello all,

Iam working on a school project which involves leveling the bases of two platform by means of some laser alignment.
initially i thought of using 2 dot lasers mounted in a st.line.so when they project 2 dots on the next base i will be able to align platform.
but it seems using one line or cross line laser will make the job easier.
so can you guys suggest me some things here.

these platform are placed in open under sunlight,so the laser line should have good visibility.for that what is the best Watt which doesn't do any harm (no burning of match stick or paper)

and most importantly cost has t be with in reach.

Thanks in advance.
Regards

one more
iam not very familiar with lasers,so running a 5-10MW laser for long time (20-30mins) is ok.how much heat will it generate on the exposed surface

I think he meant the heat in the target surface and not in the laser's body.
But it may be only my impression :undecided:

Ah, I think you may be right. As for the heat it generates, it would be negligible, I don't think you can even feel 5-10mW on your skin.

yes, that's what i wanted to know.
Thanks guys

@ Prototype
i saw models in AIXIZ link.
i liked this model (AixiZ)
as its 15MW (good visibility) and has 2 lens for line and cross line(optional).
only thing i might need is an enclosure for this i guess.
i have a Aluminum based enclosure with external threading outside in mind.
which will cover the circuit and i will be easily mountable.
