crazy find or what? blu-ray 8x diodes

so i was browsing some 8x blu-ray drives and i found these

newegg has em as discontinued but i have found em on a few websites for about 80 bucks! does anyone have any idea what kinda diode these things are sporting? cuz it seems relatively cheap compared to the ~200 dollar price tage for other 8x drives

of course i could be missing something completely and the diode is really just a different 8x diode and the blu-ray is only a PHR or GGW

Sounds like it's 8x DVD, with 2x bluray playback, not a bluray burner.

yeah...seems like it. further research seems to point at 8x red burner and 2x br reader only. damn, think i just kinda got blinded by the possibility of a cheap 8x. if its too good to be true...
