Right before you ask yes I have used the SEARCH button but I have not found the exact answer I want.

I have just bought -> DealExtreme: $11.15 10mW Green Laser Pointer Pen Black

And have a few questions.

1. If I was to shine this on a wall for example or any block object that was not going to reflect back, would it harm my eyes if I was to look at the point.

2. If I was to shine this but not reflect it to hit me in the eyes directly would the IR not effect me?

3. How much IR do these have in them as they don't have a IR filter?

I was looking into getting some goggles as this is my first laser pen would these goggles be ok and do I need goggles for this laser pen? Even though it is 10mW -> Focalprice.com offers Professional Anti Green Laser Glassess ,discount Professional Anti Green Laser Glassess,Professional Anti Green Laser Glassess products, low price Professional Anti Green Laser Glassess, cheap Professional Anti Green Laser Glasses

Also would these protect me from the IR as well.

- Thanks.

1. no
2. no
3. under 10mW
goggles will be ok, they don't block IR but if it is only 10mW it should be right

You shouldn't care about IR unless you're dealing with something above 200mW. Just don't point the laser near anyone's eyes and you'll be fine.

The "pain" feeling you'll get when looking at the dot is due to the eye muscles trying to focus on an "unfocusable" thing, not that you're getting any damage.

Dangerous things with this pointer are only a direct hit or a reflection.
