Wanted to share this mornings project. Really been wanting to build a compact 465nm pointer. The batteries arrived this morning, so I went ahead and put it together. Pics were with the lights on, but I hope to get some better beam shots this evening with cloudy weather rolling in.

Defiant 2xAA host
Nubm07 w/G8 on ACS4500 set to 3.5 (thanks DTR)
2x Olight 14500s

My cheap meter showed output just over 4100mW, although i doubt the accuracy of that measurement.

That is a very small host for such a high power setup. Also, you might want to move your module into the heat sink further as this will make heat transfer better. I would consider using a much larger heat sink for diodes driven at 3500 mA. Or, at the very least, made of copper.
