In the early mornings when my green laser is cold to the touch it produces no green light at all... I dared not look into the laser so I brought out my cheap phone camera and recorded the place where there should have been a green dot.
Luckily my phone camera doesn't have an IR filter so I could see a purple dot, is this the IR my laser normally puts out even when it isn't cold and also produces green, or does this unwanted IR only appear when my laser is cold? :yh:
Either way it probably doesn't matter since the IR stays well collimated but it would be nice to know.
