I got my 15 watt CO2 tube running tonight -- damn near set fire to a table 4' away !!! Why does it smell like a smoke house down here ????

Pretty hard to get beam shots of 10,600 nM !!!
I still have to get my power supply under control - It puts out too much.
The tube is rated for 12 mA and I'm getting 20 mA ........

Mine is running, Its not quite portable yet though. I need a 12V power inverter rated for at least 400W. I was confused with some jumpers and shorted two out and heard a pop followed by some buzzing, the tube was glowing purple and my door has a 1/4 inch hole burned in it ;D
