dear fellow laser enthusiasts:
On top of liking lasers, I am also into high voltage experimentation, and other such electronics. I am attmepting to rebuild a taser i have from the 1980s. it uses huge old electronic parts, and I want to down size the overall size of the device. The reason im doing this is because im building a lightning affect that will go around a crystal im putting in a walking stick. In order to fit the whole circuit into the hollowed staff, it needs to be smaller. Im using an older version taser because it causes a very visible spark about 1-2 inches long, but if you do happen to get shocked, its not very painful or stunning. If anyones can help out, pm or post here. im willing to pay for all parts, assembly time, and shipping. pm for details

There are some pre-assembled high voltage circuits that would be perfect. I cant remember where I saw them, but they aren't hard to find.

Fill your crystal with some argon and seal it off, you will see nice big arcs inside, like one of those plasma balls.
