Looks like a very dirty lens to me (since the 1st picture shows a brighter dot in all the fuzz). I read you lit a couple of matches with it, if you hold it too close, the smoke and that shit-whatever-it's-called that launch off the match when you light it might have hit the lens.
Try cleaing it and you might have it as brand new, be careful tho, they are rather fragile.
