Hey what do you guys think of this thing? I found it on e-bay for about $40 bucks. I was thinking of maybe using it in a labby to run one of Daedal's Phazor diodes with a heat sink. Any comments on this?

= RIP OFF...
Make one of DDL's circuits and save the $30 spare for another bluray diode!

If the max output is really 2.5V that's not gonna cut it.
You'd need a max of something over 3V.
I've gotta agree with BlueFusion - Daedal's LM317 circuit is much cheaper, only needs a few components, will supply as much current as this thing, and at suitable voltage.

It will probably supply more voltage than 2.5 volts, most current sources supply close to the input voltage when required. I guess its quite similar to the opamp based sources i normally use - power control using a normal pot over the full range is defenitely a bonus compared to LM317 solutions.

Then again, you can build such a current source for under $10 easily, if you're up for some soldering.
