I have been looking around for a cheap laser power meter. I dont completely understand everything with them either. I do not really need a meter higher than 100mw if that helps at all.

I have found this on a sticky thread, but it requires to purchase a digital multi-meter and calibrate it. Im looking for a simple set up if possible.

Products

I would appreciate any input,
Thanks

All you need is a <$10.00 DMM and the HLPM-II... You don't
need to calibrate anything.. It is already calibrated...
Here is a link to the item on eBay...

200mW Calibrated Laser Power Meter Sensor Module (3) on eBay.ca (item 150574497084 end time 15-Mar-11 20:58:40 EDT)

If you don't already own a basic Digital MultiMeter (DMM) it would
be a good time to get one. You will need it to test batteries... Laser
Diode Drivers... resistors... diodes... etc.. All thing that we use making
our lasers work correctly...
