Cheap glasses...

So, would these glasses serve ANY purpose other than making things red? I mean, they're cheap, so I wouldn't expect much. But would they be a reasonable pair to have like 5 of? For friends or whatever. It says they have an Optical Density of +5-+6...

What Glasses....
I don't see any Glasses...

I'm also looking for glasses, I just order the Rifle 1.2W and I want glasses for my friends and my room mate (I would feel bad if I blinded him), any way, any suggestions cause i just spent my money on that laser

Do any stores, Lowes Home Depot...etc.. sell them?

I just ran some tests on those crummy red laser enhancement goggles and they do work very well against 445nm blue. It brought my ~600mW 445nm to 1mW or even 0mW (rounded down). The plastic started melting, but it would've definitely lasted for a while.

You should be safe with them, even if they're some of the most uncomfortable, cheap-ass goggles you can find. I've broken all my pairs because of the shitty frames. They're also hard to see anything through, so I prefer the YLWs at OEM laser systems, but they cost substantially more.

Cool! Thank you! I bought an eagle pair but I was thinking these would be good for just showing off beams, or demonstrations. How do you think they would do for 405nm???

They work for 405nm too, but the worst part about those goggles is that it is hard to see anything; so the audience might as well just shut their eyes. You can't see beams and you can barely see the dots. If there were a pair of goggles that were too good, those would be the ones. They're like OD8 or something.

I got the YLWs specifically because they are very easy to see with. The shame is that they only work with 445nm and 405nm lasers, not green or others.

Those are the ones that I received with my 445 and they worked really well until my dog chewed them up last night.
