Sorry, chipdouglas, I think we're talking at cross purposes. I used to be an electronics technician, and to me "potted" means "encased in a block of epoxy resin", not "fitted with a potentiometer". Sorry for any confusion. What I was trying to say was that the components will have been set in epoxy inside the module and thus will be inaccessible.
