YES - That is an old magic trick. There is a string fastened off stage so the hoop and hanger trick works. The rest is done with two lasers - slight of hand.
Impressive to the "unenlightened".

Count me among the unenlightened, then. A most impressive and mesmerizing display. The part where interrupting the beam causes the hangar to fall was quite intriguing.

THAT was pretty cool ! Of course, I thought I saw how he did it several times - BUT then he did something else, and blew me away ! SWEET !
