Can i make my own laser goggles?

Is your attention span so short that you cannot even read my post? I have already told you NOT to risk doing this. The guy in the video doesn't know what he is talking about.

That guy on the YouTube video is a Moron... look at the video
closely... he shines the laser into his face... while NOT wearing
Safety Goggles...

He has not shown the power reduction of the lasers's beam
using any test equipment....

Oh Yeah... Ima go do dat now ....

You must be one of those guys that's born with spare eyes...

BTW... to answer your Thread title............ NO !!!

Just buy a pair. You can't put a price on your vision dude. Lasers are an expensive hobby from every angle. If you can't even invest in safety equipment then this hobby definitely isn't for you.

Man guys I'm sorry ;( didn't mean to offend anyone on my first day :(

You live you learn. Just make sure you know what you are talking about before you post you dont want to mislead anyone and get them hurt ;)

Well I thought the post said "Can "You" make good..." so I thought you could make ok working goggles. I mean the goggles in the video seem they would protect you if you Accidently (for 2secs) hit yours eyes. No one just sits there and points a laser in there eye.

...well I hope not xD

The most important thing is OPTICAL DENSITY. This is what stops a direct hit getting to your eyes. Yes, your colored goggle will block the light you can see, but, if you get a direct hit, the OD gives you a few seconds before it goes through so you have time to react. A 2 OD works for around 75-100mW. If you dont know the OD of the glasses you are using, you are inviting disaster. So get something certified, and stop playing stupid games with some plastic you know nothing about.

I guess your right. I'm make sure I have no mirrors or reflective equipment.. thanks for
the tip

Sorry if I'm coming across intense, but I caught a refection, and now I have a black spot. Nothing is worth hurting your eyes, and lasers are as dangerous as a gun to your eyes.

Really? Man I hope you get better; I'm go buy some goggles before my laser gets here..

Not having any. I figured a 20mW green would not do much. Yeah right, its been a couple of months now and it isn't going away. Thankfully its small, and in the upper right of my vision. I reacted, just not fast enough I guess. It was off a desk lamp in the other room. You'd be amazed how many reflective things that are in your house.

Lol ok..

Is there such a thing as univeral goggles that block different types of light?

-Sorry I just joined today and google isn't my friend anymore...-
