Those goggles you offer. It says they aren't rated for laser safety but they killed almost all the light from a blue laser. I just purchased a 1W blue and need a good pair of safety goggles. Would you or anyone recommend these or should I actually just purchase OD+4 goggles?

Search for a the review tsteele did of the $8 goggles that 100% block 445 light. I have some (as well as my eagle pair) that are perfect for my 2W build :)

Thank you I'm gonna get right on that! I already lost my movement I don't feel like losing my sight haha!

I can also vouch for those goggles. They're Uvex brand and I have 5 pairs, they stop 445 light dead in its tracks (at least until you burn a hole through them :eg:) I wouldn't trust them for, say, 532nm though..

I just ordered some! Thanks you guys I appreciate all the help! I absolutely love how active this forum is!

I just ordered parts for a small Ultrafire WF-602c hosted LPC-826 660nm laser from Clif so now I will finally have a laser smaller than a C6 :D

Quick Question Clif, the heatsink for the WB-602c, does it stick out past the crown?

no, it's slightly recessed. It's one tiny host - be sure to clip the diode's pins a little to help avoid breakage, those OEM LPC-826 diodes' pins are long legged like a runway model - lol

Awesome, actually it being recessed is good because my goal is small as possible. I'll be running everything as small as possible so I can avoid breakage. Can't wait to have a nice single mode red laser :D

I'll have to order another BlitzBuck from you, The one I received doesn't seem to want to work :yabbem:

Just finished a tiny LPC-826 build using all cajunlaser parts. I resorted to underpowering a Mohgasm linear set to 490mA with a single IMR but the little diode can still pump some serious photons. Outdoors it makes a visible beam at night and the dot can hit buildings as far as I can see in the city. I tossed the diode in the Ultrafire WF-602c host which is perfect heatsink wise for the power of the diode but the overall fit has a little to be desired. The heatsink itself could have pushed a tiny bit out the front of the host to allow more room inside. I am not able to screw the host together fully with a normal unprotected 16340 even after clipping the diode leads to absolute minimal length. Also the hole in the heatsink wasn't perfectly centered as though it was just visually guessed. The little bugger puts out more than I expected and can actually burn if I get the right focus so I am quite happy. I also replaced the rubber tailcap with a higher grade since the one it came with was very flimsy.

In a nutshell, the host has a little quality to be desired but it works and it was cheap enough. The diode far exceeds expectations. Clif will definitely keep seeing more of me :P

FINALLY got my self a BlitzBuck. Now I can finally push my 9mm diode to the extreme!

Used the coupon... saved $3.60. Awesome! +1 for sure!

I'd just like to say that Clif took care of everything like a champ!

I'll be making sure to keep on purchasing when my wallet allows me :p

Thanks for the discount! The stuff I ordered arrived, nicely packed.
Busy this week, would be building my first laser soon.:)
