I'm sorry, I suppose no such thing as output coupler facet, which is what I meant by OC. Heck, I don't know why it's even called a coupler, I just know its the cavity mirror that light comes out of.

My blu-ray is an unknown medium-power closed can blu-ray. I had read that with overdriven diodes, facet degradation can be attributed to, as you said, too much optical flux.
