Burning lazers?

Hi I recently bout 2 1mw pens one green an one blue and was looking to turn them into burning lazers, I read on other threads that it isn't possible the low mw output. Can anyone help me out on where to start? I don't want to just buy a burning one rather mod\build an existing one
