Hi, i want ask your help i'm going to build RGB projector i've made the 445nm diode with M140 and the 532 from meierlight. Now i want to add a 1 watt 635nm CW laser diode with a pair of ML501P73 Mitsubishi 638nm 500mW.

I've got 2 problems: the beam spot/divergence and the driver.

In the first diode have a bad "dot" for projector mount http://laserpointerforums.com/f50/f...bishi-ml501p73-635nm-638nm-diode-69702-3.html
i need to correct the beam profile http://laserpointerforums.com/f50/here-300mw-635nm-mitsubishi-66942-26.html
but the power losses with a prism pair is too much there something else to correct beam?
So wich focusing lens can i use and which setup is better(PBS cube or knife edging) and in case i use single prism pair can i put this after PBS or knife array?

In the second one i choose flexmodp3 driver and my idea is connect diode in parallel with resistence and set current to driver for double diode. Is it right?

Thanks!

There is one of the largest threads ever...over at PL...titled..." Mits ML520G71...Red Holy Grail or Flashlight Fail ?? " 55 pages !! This thread lays out the evolution to find the optical solution for the Mit G71/P73 !!

You might want to start at the end....but in there you will learn how to correct the P73 beam....and IIRC...how to combine the outputs of two beams !!

Enjoy the read....it WILL take some time....but you will benefit and LEARN....the why and how. This diode IS difficult to optically correct...BUT...DOABLE !!!!

Mmmmm ???? Must have overwhelmed him !!! Careful what you ask for !!! Countless man-hours of experimenting....results posted for free !!!! ????

I will NOT tell you exactly what to do !!! READ !!! LEARN !! and then ask more questions !! Show some buy-in !! Not really trying to be judgmental !!! Imagine if I was !!!

I have a Mitsubishi 635 500mw laser diode set in a module with a G2 lens. Can anyone tell me what driver board would work best for this laser diode

This thread is 4 years old. People will give you negative rep for an answering such an old and closed thread. Best you delete your post and pay attention to the dates on these threads before you post to them. The answer to your question can be found by doing a quick search.
