Was it a cheap eBay laser? The host looks like it.

It seems the crystals have dis-aligned...unless you are great in making green lasers and how the crystals must be place, it's as good as dead.

Sorry :(

Don't mess with that unless you have some 808 - 1064nm safety glasses. The diode in there is emits very
strong infrared (much more than 30mW). It is a light which cannot be seen.

the JD850 ?

Escap?

Not wanting to ruin the party or anything...but for $45 you aren't going to get 200mW of 532nm :whistle:

And yes, every green laser uses IR to produce green.

For example:

100mW 532nm uses a 1W IR diode

500m 532nm uses a 5W IR diode

etc..

I expected it to be overrated. Here is a question. How do I know what is rated correct and what is going to be overrated. Is there a set price zone for REAL 200mW?

Yes,

On average expect to pay around $150-200 for 200mW of 532nm.

Basically $1 for every 1mW.

So...

100mW=$100
200mW=$200
1000000mW=$1000000 :wtf:

A 100mW 532 wont have a 1W pump... Just saying :) I'd predict the laser you bought will be maybe 90+mW :eg:
