This is my second build. Stuck a DDL driver circuit and a PHR LD in the casing of a cheap, pump-action paintball gun..Very satisfying to fire!

Next, it's on to an LOC LPC-815 which I intend to drive at 300 or so mA. :evil:

I have developed a serious laser problem. It's starting to affect my drinking! :yabbem:

You can sure take that LOC to 420ma or so and be sufficient on diode life. That can give you about 245mws with an aixis acrylic lens!

Oooh, yes! I'm looking at Drlava's graph now...Is there any data on longevity at that current?

Would you then consider using a heat sink the laser equivalent of wrapping one's willy?

Hey you need a sink on that gun too. The sink needs to be around the collar where the diode is press into. Very tight and using heat sink paste. You're going to kill your diodes rather quickly.
