Blue Laser Build

I'm currently planning on building a new blue laser by following this tutorial:
How to make a cheap 1000mW+ Blue Laser Pointer - YouTube
Using this Diode : https://sites.google.com/site/dtrlpf/home/diodes/445-m140-didoes ($60)
I'm not exactly sure if this diode is good and if it's durability would be good.
In this build it requires a Driver, Host, Diode, and 18650 Battery.
I'm concerned about the diode burning out while the building process, are there somethings i need to be concerned about when building this? i'm still new to building lasers fyi.

Edit:
I'm also from Australia, so i'm not sure 100% sure if the customs would allow this diode? Would it be legal?

Yeah, technically there's no restrictions but recently a user's host was confiscated lol. My hosts are MIA atm, basically theres not a 100% chance on importing stuff to Australia. I'll post back if i get something in the mail
