First of all, id like to thanks DDL for his writeup that introduced me to the case, his supply of diodes, and all the help he has given me.

Got a blu ray mounted in a mxdl case. not sure of the output, but i can sting my skin if i use a lense, make a match smoke, but not light >:(, and see the beam very well at night.

the first beam pic is with no smoke, the rest, i obviously used smoke.

btw, the fog machine is my shower turned on hot for a few minutes with the doors closed.

Very nice...and you have a very nice fog machine too... ;D

To light a match I have had to run ~56ma's into mine. I do not recommend running that high for very long and anyone who wants to try it, do so at your own risk. The match was a non-sharped safety match and the focus on it had to be perfect.

Thanks. Haha, i was so frustrated staring at the match watching the smoke emit while smelling burning sharpie. I got so frustrated i busted out the high powered green PLUS the lense and it lit up the second i hit the button 8-)

hey, very nice laser, I was wondering if you'd be willing to show the guts, or explain how you wired your bluray, does it have just resistors and caps? or is there a regulator and pot?

Nice job - something to be proud of ;D
How much current have you settled at for the driver circuit ??
A few of us have burned matches but then many of us have lost a couple diodes trying >:(
