Blocks UV AND DEEP INFRARED?!?!?!?

He says it blocks <380nm and 10.6um, not all of the light in between. In all honesty, nearly anything blocks CO2 laser light anyway, those cheap $2 safety goggles you can buy at the hardware store work just fine as safety goggles IIRC.

really?

what shade?

regards,

amk

Not the shaded goggles, just the regular old clear safety goggles. It is opaque to 10.6um. I don't know what brand and everything that works the best because I don't have a CO2 laser, but try asking cyparagon, he posted a video where it took 15 seconds or so to burn through a pair of those goggles with a 60 watt CO2, that should be enough time to realize the laser is pointed at your face and that your goggles are on fire. ;)

I was about to call bullshit, but then I saw the seller. Still, I'm not too sure these are much better then UV-blocking sunglasses.
