I got a 130mw green and it is measuring 15 max with fresh battery.
Just received a 250mw green it is measuring 55!
My 100mw green module from O-like measures 88 and it noticeably brighter than the 250.
I can't speak for the more expensive ones they carry but avoid the lower cost ones.
They were cheap and I didn't really expect full power but was hoping for at least half.

O-like is generally ok. Not always, but generally. Rayfoss has been in a long downward trend, but is also ok.

Of the budget companies lazerer is definitely the best. Though with them I highly recommend spending a bit more for the LPM test... that way you know they will check the laser properly before sending it.

The chinese company to deal with in my experience, by far, is jetlasers. Of course there is a higher price to be paid for quality, and good service.

Lastly, in the US and canada we have optotronics, and laserflow. Both offer perfect quality and service.

File a dispute. When they were dino direct I ordered there 80mW firedragon V, it came at a whopping 20mW. I filed a paypal claim, because the item was not as advertised. I got my money back and kept the piece of crap they sent me. They do this all the time, because 99% of their customers don't know enough about the hobby, or don't have an LPM.

They take advantage of people.

At this point I think I am going to try to disassemble it and put my own module in.
The front does unscrew about a 1/4" and then stops. I think I will just force it off to see what happens.
No access from the rear.
Not worth the hassle to return and I definitely will not buy from them again.

Like I said, no need to return.
File a dispute on paypal ( if that is what you used) and you can get your money back, and keep the paper weights they sent you.

Sorry Jake...

If he opens a PayPal "Not as Described" dispute and wins...
he will need to send back his Laser with Tracking to get
a refund by PayPal unless the Seller just refunds him on his
own without needing the item returned.

And thanks Jerry. I'm really happy with my meter!
I don't know how anybody can do this stuff with out one.
It's like getting into cooking and not having a thermometer to check your oven temp.
You really have no idea whats going on.

That's what happened to me, I filed mine as not described and Dino just refunded me. I guess they knew better than to ask me to return it haha

Yeah... you hit the nail on the head...;)
You can't do it right without the proper tools...

Most cheap scrupulous Chinese sellers of any products on eBay will
ask the item back to get a Refund because they know it costs more
to ship it back than it is worth..

Some of the better Chinese companies will just refund you for a
small amount.. You were lucky...:D

Yeah, the laser was ~$25-30. Not a big purchase so that could be why. also the fire dragon series was supposed to be "gaurantee'd certified power" as they put it.

Also in my message to them through the PayPal dispute said something along the lines of " this is a gaurantee'd certified power product. It was not even half of the gaurantee'd power that it was supposed to be. How can you gaurantee something if you obviously don't even check it before shipping? If there had been one LPM reading of this product it would have been known to not be the advertised power."

Butt-holes (Dino)
