I can't wait, me stoked! ;D
Did ya get it yet?

I did get it! Unfortunately it's only putting out about 50mw and since Jack lives 30 minutes away from me he's coming by my house today to do some tests and give me a replacement. I will post a review and some pictures when I get squared away.

Wow that sucks.
I figured Optotronics would check their products before they ship them. That's awesome that's hes coming to you house tho!

Not only did his RPL-165 get tested before it was shipped, but it had gone through our burn-in process and output power trending before and after the burn-in.
Since Jangles was close by, I offered to come to him and troubleshoot it and replace if needed.
I only brought my lasercheck with me to his home as I was short on time and my fieldmaster is my bread and butter and if anything happens to it, we are down.
Anyhow, I tested his RPL-165 with the lasercheck and something had happened to it as it no longer was stable, it's output bounced back and forth from highs up in the mid 180's down to in the 70's and then back up again, very unstable for some reason.
No question it was not performing as it had a few days earlier, so it was replaced. The new RPL-165 I left with Jangles was cranking out up to 240mW on his tripod after being on for over 3-4 minutes, of course the 240mW was a peak measurement as it was on the lasercheck, but I resampled several times at it was still right up there.
