"Best" Blu-Ray diode driver?

Hello, is there really a "best" Blu-Ray driver? Something that most people use (like an equivalent to the DDL driver, in terms of popularity)? If not, I'm looking for a driver pretty compact, that could ideally run on 2 AA's, but I heard that it needs at least 5V's, so I'd probably end up using a 9V battery. If someone could show me the schematics and a list of everything I would need to build the driver, I would be very appreciative. I plan on using the PS3 diode in an Aixiz housing, I'll probably buy it during a GB, and have the diode already included in an Aixiz housing (I don't want to take the risk of messing that part up myself).

runs on a 9v battery, outputs 4.5v at 0-150ma

if so, then my problem is solved

EDIT: if not, what if i didn't screw the bottom part on and just have the board free but protected from shorting, then i would have more room, any thoughts?
