Bending spring..

It was flickering on and off last time I used it.. so I took it apart and found the spring was loose.

(O-like tactical 1.2W)

Anyone had this problem? if so can you give me some ideas to correct it.

For all those not familiar with the host please say and I'll post more information.



So yeh^^ and obviously when I screw it on it pushes it down even further.
 





and get a peice of foam and cut it to keep it in place

helps keep from shorting the batteries too
 
I would solder the spring back tight and use some adhesive to give it some stiffness and the foam to center it idea is good too.

Check out this one I built. I used some Arctic alumina thermal adhesive to keep the spring from getting enough pressure on the base to break the solder joint.

np i would def use electrical tape or something you don't want to short out the battery's if it bends again
