So i bought a X100 and i'm wondering which recharable batteries i should buy for it from DX? The reason i'm asking is all rechargable batteries are usually 1.2V and x100 wants 1.5V?
Ni-MH have a better stability power than the Alkaline who drop power in a few minutes of use. ( I had a pair of Duracell 1000mAh AAA ), so the 1,2v isn't a problem.
The top are the Energizer Lithium, but rechargeable doesn't exists yet :'(
According to my DMM, rechargeable batts (Ni-MH:s) actually holds 1,4 volts or so when freshly charged, and they will not drop to 1,2V unless you use them in a laser for several hours. So you can use them in a laser and almost get alkaline power, they will hold their voltage longer than alkas as well. But I'm not sure the 1,2 volts or 1,5 will matter with an X1000, as it has a driver. And as soon as the voltage gets over the drivers's "threshold", it will give the laser the same power. Many drivers works this way, and I think the one in the x-series also does. The only thing that really matters with the batts is how long they hold their voltage, and the eneloops are probably one of the best for that application. I have Duracell 1000mA, and IMO they are very good rechargeables.
