hey guys, regarding audio ads, I am aware that the issue can occasionally occur.
To the best of my knowledge this does not happen frequently though. Since going with a new ad network between 11/13 and 12/7 I have only personally heard one audio ad (was for gillette razors )
Unless this is something that happens frequently, e.g. over 5 times in 100 pageviews, I can't see myself being able to switch b/c of that. I rely on the ad networks to pay for LPF costs which are not just server costs but also legal expenses. Also time is money and maintenance, backup testing, writing modsecurity rules to block spammers, etc takes a lot of time
I have contacted the ad provider and it is possible to report these issues to try and get the ads shut down that do this. If it happens please feel free to email me the details of the ad. My new email is avery.a.tarasov @ securityengineer dot pro. please only report the issues via email as it makes it easier to forward it to the ad network. However, I don't expect this audio ads issue to happen frequently.
So solutions to the problem are reporting the issue to me via email so I can forward it to the ad provider, or muting the speakers. If you choose to block ads please consider donating $1 or $2 each month. Or if you have a website please consider link back to LPF.
Thanks for your understanding guys and sorry for any annoyance when this does rarely happen.
Best Regards,
-Avery
