Another interesting factoid is that because a photon's energy is greater at shorter wavelengths, a greater number of photons will be required to produce the same amount of energy at higher wavelengths. To produce the same amount of total energy at 400nm would require 57% less photons than at 700nm for instance.Basically that. Shorter wavelength = more energy/burning power.
