It appears the Edmund lenses are compatible and certainly much less expensive.
during the chat i was told that Edmund does not make a lens that is equivalent to the LightPath 352673A lens in terms of performance when paired with the Nichia blue laser diodes...

Huh. You should have asked how it differs.

here are the specs for the 352673A-00 lens...

Aspheric Lens, EFL 4.01mm, NA 0.60, OD 6.33mm, MLBB-A coating Ravg<0.5% from 350-700nm, AOI=0 deg

So did you buy one and try it?

The Edmond Stock #83-990 looks pretty close. Either way none of them are optimized for 445nm they are both for 405nm diodes.

at the cost of $155.00 US each it would have be the best lens on the planet by a large margin...

LightPath makes another interesting lens that is placed right by the diode to slow the fast axis while allowing the slow axis to "catch up" to the fast axis before the beam is collimated? it's called a "Circulight Anamorphic Lens"?

Agree --your are better off with G2 lenses for <$10 each unless the lightpath lenses make a critical difference in a given application.---iunnecessary uinless purpose requires them.

For blue lds.

Circulight - it is great on paper. As I see it was removed from the catalog too.

All LP lenses Aspheres ? LightPath Technologies
they are listed under "Additional Custom Capabilities" in the catalog as they are not "asphere" lenses...

wouldn't a lens like this eliminate the need of cylinder lens pair for fast axis correction after the beam is collimated by correcting the fast axis before collimating the beam?

Try the thorlabs A240. It has an 8mm focal length and gave me much better divergence on my 445 build back in the day.
