Article Accurate on 1w 445 Lasers?

That part I don't really believe. If you look directly into it, you'll be completely blind in that area. Period.
Even with wicked's "safety goggles" you'll go blind directly. Maybe if you stare at the dot at a short distance for a long time you'll lose green vision, MAYBE.

Besides, the article is really old and when everybody was extremely concerned with the "blue light hazard" that doesn't seem to affect any of us.

I don't know if the intent was satire but that is how I took it. Rather pointless article if you ask me.

It is well documented that class IV beams can cause burns and damage the retina. The effects are similar to electrocautery. Proper protection and safety precautions are what limit the dangers. A beam is like a bullet from a firearm. You cannot take it back. You are responsible for the damage that you cause and any incidental reflected damage. Be smart, careful and leave foolishness at the door. Just like firearms, one must not be under the influence of any sort of substance that can cloud judgement.

WickedLasers has released a new laser that can blind instantly, cause cancer if it touches skin, and could possibly set things on fire.
