Hey Forum - :na:

I have just bought a 200Mw Red Laser Pen From LaserWare -

Laserware Home - Blue Lasers, Green Lasers, Red Lasers, Gadgets and Laser Pointers

And I need a pair of Laser Protection Glasses, and I was wondering would this set of glasses be the correct pair to buy for the 200Mw Red Laser Pen?

Once again NO. You NEED something that includes 590 to ATLEAST 700nm in the numbers.

Be careful though, an OD of something like 4 (which most glasses come in), will actually be too much, as in you won't even be able to see the dot. This is a danger in itself. Although some people might disagree.... if you are going to point it around, seeing the dot is nice. I recommend an OD of 2.

Uhh...

Why would you need 590nm to 700nm for a 200mw 650nm laser?

And honestly the ruby glasses probably would work though i wouldnt recomend testing them out on your eyes, no reason to spend 40£ on something that might not work

People need to do some research before spouting off advice. The glasses listed in the OP cover 620nm-700nm and will be fine for any red diode any hobbiest could get their hands on... HOWEVER.. the seller of this auction should be contacted to get the exact model of the glasses since the OD for these can be anywhere from 2 to 6+. However an OD of 2 would be adequate for 200mW, since it would only pass 2mW.
