Are these goggle any good if not then please show me some that are.

I just bought a 3-3.5W 445nm laser diode from DTR's Shop and i want to buy some goggle that will protect my seeing balls, Will these Eagle Pair goggle protect my eyes from a 3.5w 445nm laser beam has anyone tested it with a LPM, if they wont protect my eyes from a 3.5w 445nm beam can someone please post a link to some goggle that have been tested and will protect my eyes?

These would be fine for what you are doing, but, only to protect from flashes of reflected beams, not the beam itself.

IE: OK if the spot flashes across something reflective, and bounces back at your eyes...but, not OK if you accidentally shine the beam AT your eyes.

*ok but not for long they will block the direct beam but they may fail in one to two seconds. so if your laser falls of a table/tripod etc. and you take a brief hit you should still be fine

As he asked if they would protect his eyes from the laser beam...I felt it was best to say no, even though it would help, I didn't want to give the impression that it was designed for that.



I'd hate to be the guinea pig for that experiment.

1 or 2 seconds is ok I'm not really worried about a direct beam because I'm going to use a momentary switch so if I drop it it will instantly power off its more off the radiant light that the beam gives off.

You'll be fine then. Again, its the reflections off shiny stuff the beam might play across that tends to be tricky, rather than the radiance per se, but those glasses should be fine.

Sounds like you'll be burning stuff in no time.
