I just got myself a 10w blue lazer for 50 dollars on taobao. It burns stuff super fast.
I am now looking for a laser goggle to protect my eyes. I found this $50 lazer goggled on aliexpress.
I just found this on AliExpress:
Safety Protective Laser Goggles Eye Protection Laser Glasses Ipl Hair Removal Radiation UV IPI IR FPV Lazer Welding CO2 Infrared
(alibaba site)/_oCiweUD
Can I trust this and should I get it? If its not reliable are there other brands you can recommend that cost around $50 which is my budget. Thanks everyone!

I recommend Eagle Pair safety goggles that you either can purchase from Barnett Unlimited or Survivallaser pages.
I have purchased these from Barnett, they work really great and have OD6+.
Keep in mind that for 50 bucks; it's absolutely worth investing in right laser safety goggles like these Eagle Pair.

Just remember safety comes 1st, anything over 5mW can damage our eyes.

No problem, I am happy to help you.
Don't forget to order these safety glasses from Barnett ;)

Happy and safe lasing!

CoolLaserUser,
may I ask why you gave a Thumbs up to the OP's initial question about the Aliexpress hair removal laser glasses?
As far as I know they aren't even close to being safe for a blue laser. They are IR and CO2 rated for the cosmetology field.
Your sending a very mixed message.

If you think carefully or read again, you can see that he has not purchased these Aliexpress laser glasses.
Second he asked about if they are reliable or if other better laser safety glasses are recommended, so I recommended a pair of Eagle Pair glasses that are great.
The reason I liked the question: Because he asked about recommendations and I always appreciate when anyone take laser safety seriously, like asking questions about recommended real certified goggles.

I completely disagree and don't see any reason that I send mixed messages :ROFLMAO::LOL:

Short answer: No.
Long answer:
Some Chinese goggles have already been proven to be useless. Members, in the past have already tested their goggles. A lot of Chinese products do not meet certification despite them claiming they do. This isn't saying that all Chinese made safety gear is the same, but when it comes to yours or others safety. You don't cheap out, and you don't take risks. A lot of the companies that sell quality laser goggles will likely have them manufactured in China. So, definitely not me knocking the Chinese as a whole. But having a company that can be held to account outside of China helps in ensuring the products you are receiving will be meeting the certification and standards you are expecting. Chinese marketplaces (Alibaba, Aliexpress, Temu etc), or Amazon and eBay etc where the Chinese flood with their cheap listings are generally not good places to get equipment which you are putting trust into.

You're starting to be very irritating.

No, absolutely not. Your never getting you sight back if you get hit with a laser so please buy certified laser googles for the right wavelength please. Blue lasers are normally 400-500nm I would personally recondition Eagle Pair from Survival Lasers.

No, I have been taught a lesson....

I have learned to being more clear and probably clarify whenever I write messages + avoid sending mixed messages like @GSS has mentioned.
Also to give a thread/reply correct reaction or no reaction.

Have a great day!

Yours sincerely, CoolLaserUser

Look I know you're very enthusiastic and that's great. The forum could actually use a pickmeup with more posts. Just tone it down a little. You don't want to give false advice ya know? Not speaking as a mod.

Of course, I agree.
I will tone down a little bit and sure I won't give false advice.

Lasers is one of my favorite hobbies. I use my lasers everyday, imagine.

Have a good weekend!

I edit my post #5 above, I meant to put the "Oops" emoji instead of the Roll eyes. They look so close.

Everyone that joins this forum gets addicted to lasers. My first lasers were cheapie 532 pen types, lots of them.
I would bring a few with me at bed time and play for 5 or 10 minutes in the dark just about every night at first.
301 and 303's came next and was excited to pop balloons and light matches.

Then came the Strong 1W to 2W blues and then up to 7W+ then some different WL's..
Then I modded Star Trek original series Phasers with lasers. Nothing special just toys that you have to be very careful with..

Like Unown mentioned, its great to be enthusiastic, just tone it down a little..
I was the same exact way and also was told the same..
:)

You sound so funny and amazing.
Also my first laser pointers were green 532nm and red 650nm, they were great laser pointers that I played with too much until they stopped working after I broke them :ROFLMAO::LOL:

Honestly LPF has made my lasers hobby so addictive and also made me enthusiastic, just tone it down a little bit!
