Arago spot/Fresnel bright spot

This takes me back to my optical physics course in the early 1970s.There are basically two types of diffraction. The Fraunhofer diffraction and the Fresnel diffraction. It's interesting to see it again after all these years. You should look at some better Fresnel diffractions to see the bands which can be seen around the object as well. It has been said that these phenomena can be observed during a total solar eclipse also.
