I just finished my blue 6x with the module and lense you are asking about and it works great. My laser can light a match in about 1 second. I havent had time to put it through a bunch of tests but i am happy so far. The module is made of aluminum and has some weight to it. Works good as a heat sink too. There is also an option on the site for a red module as well. They claim a 10% increase over axis. I have attached a pic of my finished laser I spent $20.00 having the head of my host milled out so that the module slid down inside it and it came out sweet.

nice build.. how much current are you giving that 6X? Do you know your optical output power?

Jay- thanks for that link. So you suppose then, that this lens is relatively cheap with bad results, simply because they AR coated a poorly shaped lens? Is that how that works then?

Well, you still never know until it is test compared, but so far, you get what you pay for...

Meatball;

ColdStl tested one supposedly designed for 405 nm:

. ColdStl New Lens Test

He got only a 9.3% increase for $31 (O'like pricing-$28+$3).

ColdStl - ...not worth it to me.
were his thoughts after testing.

FYI - I sell a competitive lens assembly that fits the Aixiz module

Do you know your optical output power? I have no way of testing the output but am driving it at 203 ma.

Trophies are from car shows. My biggest hobby is building classic muscle cars. Those were of a 69 Firebird i have.

I messed my last post up so here it is again. Running it at 203 ma but can not test the output.

The trophies are from car shows. My biggest hobby is building classic muscle cars. Those were won with a 69 Firebird that i have and built.
