I am working on two builds using these--from geareb= EEkBayItemhttp://cgi.ebay.com/150mW-405nm-Blue-Violet-Laser-Diode-Module-with-Driver_W0QQitemZ270389563690QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3ef479512a&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1307%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50 I have only powered them up for short periods so far but all seems OK (no LMP yet. but I DO have an ir thermometer soo..another project, but easy) .Is there a tutorial on new laser burn-in procedure? I should ask Cris (heruur)---anyhow the price looked good but feared I would -get what I pay for- Any opinion an the need to heatsink the SMD drivers? My handheld is built into a free plastic box from a printer power adapter $0 switch and 9v attachment free also-made my own heastsink from 1 inch aluminum plate free too. will post photos later(once I figure out how to) on another note: I have had great dealings with pyrotronic on ebay (toronto)- they are on a sales break but look at their completed sales here.from pyro FEEBay item # http://cgi.ebay.com/Burning-130mW-4...s=66:2|65:13|39:1|240:1318|301:1|293:1|294:50 I got some drivers from them but opted for the cheaper ones from Korea. thanks in advance for ya'lls responses. ==<(*v')> ==-still got my good eye

Mine worked ok, but would not burn. I tried the diy lm317 driver circuit and the laser diode burned out instantly.

I bought one from that guy in south korea and it seems to be doing good. it burns anything from light colored wood to matches. The only thing I dislike is the module that it came with seems a little cheap, the focusing lens seems a little wobbly when im adjusting it.
