I have been working on building a server based on an mmorpg called runescape. The way we RSPS'ers do it is we take a source based on runescape that others have created, and simply add in minigames, npcs, items, teleports etc. Its rather easy coding, unless you get way into it, and decide to actually alter the interface or structure of the game (which could be a positive as far as the unique aspect.) I know a very small amount of coding, the basics of the basics pretty much. I already have a webhosting, forums (vbulletin), security, and a 1.5gb ram server to start it all off(will upgrade most likely every month, depends on expansion rate.) I pay for EVERYTHING, and am looking to make some money back.
I am just curious as to if anyone is out there that is willing to lend a hand. I have a forum manager, and Trevor from LPF has offered to help a very small amount, which is greatly appreciated, and I was pretty sure I had a friend who was going to be doing most of the coding (no pro, but he is apt at java). I have not heard from him in awhile, so just in case I am relaying this backup message to see if I can pull in a wondering java artist.I do need a main guy, or a few helpers to make this possible. It would be relatively easy, and you help only as much as you want. You can also ask for part of the profit if I REALLY appreciate what you do. I will rep+ easily.
