I have a 73inch Mitsubishi DLP TV. Its brand new and has a blank black screen. Repairman said it needs a new color wheel, thing is it works occasionally. I always play my PS3 system, recently my dad told me to stop and the TV Is working. I read online that the PS3 has a very strong magnet. Could this be interfering with the color wheel? Is it even the PS3s fault?

I haven't PS3ed in a while, and the TV is working flawlessly...

Thanks guys.

I'm no TV expert, but...

Move the PS3 further away from the TV.....

I forgot how hilarious LPF can be =_=. /sarcasm

I'm going to try that when I get home, I already thought of that, HURDADURR

I kinda doubt that the ps3 is screwing with your tv, but until you try it there's no way to be sure.

I really wasn't trying to be funny....

I mean it just seems like common sense to me. You have a TV. TV always seems to give you problems when you play PS3. You haven't touched PS3 in a while. TV has been working flawlessly. Seems like somehow the PS3 is causing the problem, which is why I came up with that possible solution.

You forgot to add why you posted the absolutely useless image rather than just stating a solution and your theory.

My mistake for even posting here. I should have known better.

It wasn't useless, it expressed my emotions at the time. And you're right, maybe it was your mistake for posting here. Perhaps next time you should consult with the manufacturer instead of a laser forum if that's the way you feel.

Also, how bad could my advice have been if you came up with the same idea?

And so the flamewar begins.

Live and learn I guess.

I did consult the manufacturer, they said since its the PS3 they don't provide support for it because they dont know how it works.

I posted here because I have the impression this is usually a friendly community. Never did I say that your reply was bad.

I don't flame.

Thanks to the one reply that actually wasn't spam, Razako.

Damn, so now you're saying that even your own reply was spam. Weirdo.

I my self cant see how it would interfere, but who know. . . i have a smaller version of that same TV. I think that it is a 65 inch Mitsubishi DLP and about the only thing it sees is a PS3.

There is no magnet in a PS3. Im just wondering if its the 8 hour long gaming sessions causing something to possibly overheat and stop working. And Usually a dim or black screen means the lamp is bad.

Good info right there, thats one of the things I wanted to hear. The 65inch model is pretty similar, and if its not causing problems for you then its probably not the PS3. Thanks

My thoughts exactly, except the TV Repair guy that checked it out said all it needed was a new colowheel, thing is he didn't even open it up. Its the repairman Mitsubishi sent, they told me to call that company.

Anyway I didn't get the new colorhweel yet, I told them to hold the thing. Although I can get it free because of the warranty.

Thanks for the replys
