Any chance replacing this with an Alden plug?

Just got this Uniphase 1135P rated at 12.8mW.

Problem is, the plug is... well, it's not an Alden plug. And I was wondering if anyone would know if it's possible to replace it easily and safely. (and where to get the plug, if possible.)

Anyone seen one of these?

Well, excellent.. I'll PM you.

Any idea if it's better to solder this (if accessible) in the casing, splice off the end, or splice the middle of the cable? I presume there's a "right way" to do this...

Cut the cable, then strip it,the center is the + and goes to the small prong, the shield is the - and goes to the fat long prong.
