The bending is for sure a fisheye lens on the camera for some shots. You can see the bend change with the cameras movement. In an actual live performance they would be straight.

Its very popular with skateboarding videos because it is able to capture a very wide view from even very close up... the edge effect is also now sort of a trademark of those videos.

I just want to know how he switches from the floor projector to the double-ended handheld greens.

Is it just really good timing/practice so he picks them up and puts them down at the right time, or does picking them up, putting them down, open/close a switch that tells the projector controller software to pause/restart the show?
