After receiving the Flexmod P3 and finding it perfect for my projector build ie. high current, high voltage and modulation they are now out of stock and the build grinds to a halt for who knows how long. I need 8 more of them. Anyone with a surplus and willing to sell? Or, what else is out there? Maybe I give up on the Flexdrive, but I would prefer not to build them myself.

Isn't the Flexmod just an LM317 or LM338 ?

Honestly, you can make a DDL circuit from an LM338 and wire it up for overkill - it'll serve you well.

I wanted a a flexible "poor man's" constant current power supply for testing diodes. I grabbed a 5W 10 Ohm rotary pot, used an LD1084 IC (but a 338 would work too, just not as LDO), a TO220 heatsink, added a ton of caps, a momentary switch for shorting the caps, and attached it to a 2x 18650 holder from Digikey. This monster will go from around 100 mA to 4,000 mA with great stability.

Sorry - I just noticed that you didn't want to build yourself.

I'd still advocate for the solution though. For $4 in parts, it's an easy build. If you get a TO220 IC, it will be a whole lot easier to solder together this circuit, than soldering leads onto an LD, or even soldering up a Flexdrive, etc.

If no-one here can get any for you.... you could try PL...
A lot of members over there use them...
