I have tryed a cupple times, and I just cant disasemble the darn thing.
All the places I have bean able to find all said somthing like; "Take the top off...".
I know all of you have done it.
How?
Can sombody give me a little step-by-step kinda thing?

If there is a warning label on it, that needs to be removed first.

You should se a seam towards the lens end.
It simply unscrews apart.
there is some potting compound in there, and you may need a couple pairs of pliers.
just use a piece of cloth or rubber to prevent from scratching the chrome

And don't CRUSH the module...

Simple as that.....

Once it has been taken apart, remove as much of the dried up potting compound as you can.

After the first time..it will go together smoothly.

Dude with lasers - unscrew the front end (glass or plastic lens)
Save the lens for later, you will need that !
A spring should fall out - save that, too !
Then, remove the sticker - you can discard that if you want - they are hard to put back on the same way they come off
you will see a small seam - unscrew the module at that seam - holding onto the smaller half with a rubber jar opener (the kind of little rubber sheet that you get in the mail to open stuck mason jars and the like) while you use a pari of liers on the larger, back half. OR you can use a vise ! Unscrew it, and then follow the guide on installing your new diode If you currently have a diode inside there, I always poke them out with an ice pick, as I have no need for a 5mw diode. Hope this helps !

I use a large hex bit or the flat end of a screwdriver bit. Tap lightly at first, and slowly increase the force until it pops out. I still find that I break the window on the diode 50% of the time, but if I still want to use the diode, I carefully remove the case with a dremel diamond wheel and a small parts vise.

I use a PVC circuit board standoff and a hammer, I have managed to get all of mine out in working condition up to now.
