Hi All
Just a review on the AixiZ Laser Aimer
Chuck from AixiZ generously provided a sample for testing (Thanks Chuck)
First impression is that is looks and feels very good
It feels very solid and has a high quality feel to it
Also it comes in a very nice box complete with all its parts
And tools to mount it
Also Chuck mentioned that the us army use these in the middle east (says something about quality)
According to the sticker on the laser it is rated at 5 mw max
But after taking a measurment with my coherent lasercheck
It outputs a whopping 41 mw.
It also looks a lot brighter then my 30 mw Newwish pointer.
As far as i can dethermen there is no stray infrared in the lasers output.
So it should be outfitted with a ir filter.
Unlike most of the cheap chinese lasers found on ebay.
Below a comparison picture of the newwish pointer (on the left)
And the AixiZ on the right
The beam quality is very good on this unit
The spot size is about 3 cm at 50 meters.
Its very clearly visible at day time and the beam can be seen for miles at night time
Even low level clouds are no problem for this unit
Also i have not seen any mode hoping or power fluctuations.
So overal it looks to be a very nice and wel designed unit.
