I don't know if anyone is aware of this, but Aixiz is now selling the glass lens for their standard modules on E-bay.

I wonder if it is the same as the glass lens that I got from drlava? Gazoo, have your test compared one of these with the Meredith glass? I tested one (from drlava), at 420mA's and an open can diode. It was only 1mW more power than an AixiZ acrylic. Where as, a Meredith glass, is at least 40mW's more, in the same comparison...

wow, good find, cheap, too! it looks like it's the plastic lens in the pic, but it must be glass. Maybe they are now making the threads plastic instead of brass.

I've ordered a meredith glass for testing, but when it's all said and done, it's about $50 total! that's pretty steep.

Are the glass lenses coated and are they easier to clean/harder to scratch

Thanks

No, I haven't ordered any of the Aixiz glass lenses. I am hooked on the Meredith modules with the glass lens... ;D Even though they are priced steep I am sold on Meredith.

yea the meredith modules are also very good
and high quality but thats what u pay for afterall

the brass holder/threaded glass lenses I have are AR coated, haven't seen the plastic threaded glass lenses before, so I can't say for sure. should be, though.
