Aixiz Copper Module Won't Fit With Lens

Hello everyone, I'm working on a 1 Watt 445nm laser and I'm planning on using a copper module over the standard one. However, I've been experiencing difficulties concerning the way the module fits in with the lens. Now with the standard module, everything fits perfectly fine, but with the copper head, the lens will only screw in to about one rotation and then stop as if it were stuck. I'm confident this is the module's fault as I have tried various standard acrylic lenses and the three element lens, and none seem to fit in with this one module head. Is there some sort of trick to this or do I have a bad module? I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section or if it was asked before, I've searched for an hour and a half with no results - I'm hoping someone here can shed some light on this. Also, I'm short on money, I'm wondering if the copper module head is actually necessary for this, I think it may be since I know that 1 watt diodes can heat up very quickly, but it would be better if I heard it from the experts. I've had some that the lens barrel catches at first, but it works out easy. I just screw the lens back and forth, and after a few turns, it will screw all the way.

Although it is possible that it's defective, there's nothing obvious to me in your picks.

Based on your picture it does not look like the copper module is threaded deep enough.
they look like incomplete threads.

From that last picture it looks like part of the first few threads is damaged. If you have a tap and die set just use it to repair the threads. If you don't then buy a new module.

Upon telling AixiZ of my dilemna, I've been sent a new module! Chuck from AixiZ was really quick and kind about the damaged threads.
